1. 313 Days flew by in a blink of an eye!
  2. The Computer becomes your best friend! Google specifically! If you have a question, Google it! 99% of the time, someone else in the world has asked the same question.
  3. Bridal Shows are fun to go to get free stuff (LOL!), but unless you're willing to fork out a lot of money, you most likely won't find your vendors there. A lot of them are way overpriced! Attend maybe 1 or 2, but other than that, don't waste your money on the entrance fee.
  4. Prioritizing your "To-Do" List is a must! Decide on what you absolutely can't live without and everything else, be open to compromise. It's helps a lot when making decisions to help you stay within your budget.
  5. Patience: you learn exactly what the word means! Oftentimes you'll feel like you just want things to hurry up, but at the same time, you know it can't. It get's frustrating sometimes. If you are working with a strict budget, keep shopping around until you find what you are looking for, trust me, it's out there!
  6. Communication is critical! With your family, with your vendors and most especially with your fiancé. Talk, ask questions and make sure you are in the same page. Also, try to get everything in writing with your vendors. Email is great for documenting conversations.
  7. People can't share in your excitement 24/7! I know how exciting this time is for you. Even though your wedding is the last thing you think about before you go to bed and the first thing you think about when you wake up in the morning, everyone can't be thinking like you! They have a life too! (Ha! Ha!). Don't be offended, they're still excited for you. =) This is where wedding forums comes in handy. Talk to other brides who are going through the same 24/7 excitement as you!
  8. People are NOT kidding when they say getting married is expensive. Don't let finances get between you and your fiancé. Don't loose sight of the reason why you are getting married in the first place. You will always have financial problems, it's a fact of life! Keep your focus. At the end of the day, ask yourself what really matters?
  9. Keep all of your ideas, files etc. in one easily accessible location. Something that can be mobile and you can take around with you. Remember to always back up your stuff! Then back-up your back-ups! Ha! Ha! Sometimes you just never know.
  10. Have a little faith! Nothing is impossible with God. When things get too tough, remember, He's got your back! =) That's in anything and everything.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
